A classic Flathead River Westslope Cutthroat.

The Flathead River is fishing great! The dry fly action has been pretty fast the last few days and some nice fish are making their way to the net. Golden stones or any other mid sized foam fly trailed by a purple haze or smaller traditional pattern has been working well. Flows have dropped considerably and are now pretty close to the  historical average for this time of year. Temps are also perfect topping out at 59 – optimal for trout feeding behavior.
