Flathead River Fly Fishing Guides

Working a riffle on the Flathead.

The Flathead River is fishing well right now. Just about any dry fly you throw out there will get you lots of action.  A good presentation down stream a ways will help pickup the nicer fish. The water temps are great – hovering around 60ish.  There are still a few PMDs in the am that are exposing some risers for you to throw to. Umber moths and spruce moths are around in the afternoon to keep them showing there faces, and providing targets later in the day. Small hoppers, ants, beetles, wolfs, purple haze, chubbies, and whatever else you have will do. Pretty fun stuff out there…
