The summer heat is heading out. This last week was hot but the low angle sun and shorter days have kept stream temps in check. Hoot owl is lifted on all our rivers and it’s smooth sailing from here on out. That’s not to say we won’t have some more summer-like weather, but the cool nights and shorter days will continue to lower water temps and usher in some falls insect activity. Check our last Fall Fishing post for patterns you’ll want over the next several weeks.

Avery and the ladies having some fun!
