The afternoon dry fly fishing has been lights out! Skwalas, March brown mayflies, BWOs, & nemoura stones are pouring off and fish are up. Mothers day caddis are also starting to show. The Flathead took a steep jump yesterday but the Blackfoot and Clark Fork will likely hang in there for a little longer. Lots of rain in the forecast so the rivers could head up and out soon. Weather looks to remain cool though, and if it doesn’t rain much we could have a prolonged spring season with great dry fly fishing. Either way it looks like we’ll get a few more days.
