We have been enjoying some good fishing the last few days. Beautiful weather and great conditions. Dry fly fishing on the Flathead river has been good in the afternoons and the fish are dumb right now. #16 adams is all you need for risers. Prince nymphs, small stones, and jigged attractor nymphs are all good underneath before the fish look up.

The local lakes are fishing well also. Balanced leeches, chironimids, and p-tail variations under a bobber have been working well. Adjust your depth until you find them. Sometimes you need to go deeep. The slip indicator is the only way. If you haven’t used them then stop by and we can fix you up.

The warm days have the forks heading up and will likely put off the fishing a bit. The cool weather in the forecast will hopefully bring it back quickly for another dose of spring fishing. Lots of new flies coming in. Construction will continue downtown through May but you can park on either side of us to get to the shop.
