We are in the final stretch of our fishing season is here. We still have a few weeks where there might be some dry fly fishing in the afternoons but winter is coming. The rivers are a ghost town as the orange army has made their way into the hills searching for hoofed creatures to fill their freezers. Now is a great time to enjoy some solitude on the river and catch a few fish before the snow flies. Soon the dreaded bobber and pink flies will be your only hope… Some nice fish out there still looking for mayflies in the afternoon when the hurricane force wind isn’t blowing. It’s looking like we will have a few nice days for fishing this week. You might want to put off winterizing the camper and rolling the hoses up to hit the river.

If you go, go late. Throw some buggers/streamers on a tip or the old turd/worm combo until you feel good about switching to the dry. A #14 haze with a BWO crip off the back will do just about anywhere.
