The Flathead River has been fishing fairly consistent. Good numbers of March brown mayflies in the afternoons have fish looking up on most days. Nymphing has been productive in the AM before the bugs get going. The fishing is still spot specific. The slower winter type water has been producing the brunt of the activity but we have been bumping into some random fish here and there between the prime runs.  We have been mixing it up with depth and fly size through out the day. Smaller p-tails, princes, winter jigs, and stones have been productive. The ole turd and worm is still producing as well but not as good as it once was. Got to mix it up a bit these days as the river is seeing a few more anglers. However, the fish have been extra dumb once they start looking up. You can catch them right off the oar blade with a parachute adams. The spring window on the Flathead is about to close. Warmer temps are in the forecast so flows will likely spike. Run-off season will start anyday so get it now.

The shop bins are filling up with new bugs daily. We have some sweet new pike and bass stuff along with a bunch of new tung jig flies too. Spring special is about over and this week should be a good one on the river.
