Looks like the fire season is over. Well, at least NOAA thinks so.  The smoke is gone anyway and it looks like a cold wet trend will keep it gone. Some fall creatures are starting to prowl. Time to dust off the waders and rain coat and get out there.

EXTENDED OUTLOOK From NOAA: The Fall Door Opens! Say farewell to the warm and dry summer as a series of wet and cold systems head toward the Northern Rockies. The current forecast is on track to keep temperatures well below normal, snow in the mountains, and rain for low elevation valleys through at least late September. It will be a good time to dust off those warm clothes and rain boots.
