We finally got a real dose of spring weather! With it will come our first bump of snow-melt. A much needed refresh after a long cold spring with low flows. It looks like it will be short lived as winter returns Wed/Thurs. But the weekend is looking like spring again and so goes the MT spring roller-coaster of weather. We will likely see some good afternoon dry fly fishing the next couple weeks if the flows stay somewhat stable, especially on warm calm afternoons. Look for little stones, march browns, and skwalas. A Para-Adams is really all you need. The same old turd, worm, p-tail, perdigon, frenchie, prince stuff will continue to work as well.

Warm weather and wind is starting to open up some low level lakes. Ice off is a fun time so take a drive and have a look. Last year the ice came of Rogers on the 10th. This year will probably be a little later. Pike and lakers are on the prowl too. It’s a good time to chuck a sink line in some big open water. We have a bunch of sink tip lines in the shop if you need a fresh streamer line.

We also have new BFA schwag, Loomis Rods, NRS Rafts, Sawyers Squaretops, custom flies….all in stock. See you soon.
