Bigfork Montana Fly Fishing

Good times with Rod Stultz

We are all happy to see some cooler weather and moisture. It was really starting to feel like the dog days of summer were settling in. The last few days we’ve had some tough fishing with the hot weather and the supermoon event.  However, today was great fishing under the clouds. The next few days are forecast to bring rain and cool temps so we should continue to see improving fishing conditions on all the rivers. Typically we start to get some cooler nights the 3rd week in August that bring the start of the fall hatches of hecubas and October caddis. Before you know it the waders and raincoats will be out and summer will be over….
