The fishing is improving as the warm weather transitions us into spring. Spring isn’t officially here for a few more days but  it definitely made its presence felt the last few days.  Afternoon dry fly opportunities are becoming more common and will continue to intensify in the next few weeks as the fish start to see more skwalas and mayflies. You still need to mix up your tactics, but you can pretty much go anywhere you want at this point and make a decent day of it.  The Bitterroot is typically the star of the spring show but the lower Clark Fork, Flathead, and Blackfoot are starting to crawl out of bed.
