    Hi 82 °F

Plenty of these guys looking for hoppers right now.

General Outlook.  More great dry fly fishing the past week. One of our boats boasted over 60 trout in the net today with several in the 18″ class. WOW!!  The coming week should be more of the same too. Good dry fly fishing just about everywhere.

Blackfoot River: Good fishing on the B-foot. Hoppers and spuce moths have been the go to bugs. Droppers will pick fish if the afternoon slows on top. Get out early and find a piece of water without a bunch of boats and you’ll have productive fishing. A #12 pale bodied caddis pattern is a good choice for the spruce moth.
Bugs / Fly Patterns: caddis, goldens, hoppers, ants, spruce moths / Pink Morrish, Red willies ant, chubbies, fuzzy wuzzies, fat franks, cripples, paracaddis, batman nymph, MT prince, Holo Prince, C-johns, PRLs

Lower Clark Fork River: Hoppers are working well pretty much all day. In the heat of the afternoon a dropper might be needed to keep the pace up.
Bugs / Fly Patterns: pmds, caddis, sallies, goldens, hoppers, ants, / willies ant, chubbies, fuzzy wuzzies, fat franks, cripples, paracaddis, batman nymphs, MT princes, C-johns, para sallies, 20 inchers, PRL,

Flathead River: Fishing great throughout the entire drainage. Mid sized attractor patterns are all you really need up on the forks. The main stem has been seeing lots of foam so a small caddis, mayfly cripple, or ant will help bring up some picky fish. A Holo prince or golden turd have produced good numbers of sizeable fish the last couple days too if you want to drop something off the dry. Lots of good water out there to explore in all the braids and channels.
Bugs / Fly Patterns: pmds, sallies, goldens, hoppers, ants, caddis / corn fed caddis, para caddis, purple haze, k-fish cripple, willies ant, chubbies, fuzzy wuzzies, fat franks.

Swan River: Mixed reports from the upper river. Some dry fly fishing opportunities out there but no great reports of late. The owner of  Many Springs Resort was in the shop today and he has been getting some good fish on the lower river.
Bugs / Fly Patterns: willies ant, chubbies, fuzzy wuzzies, fat franks, Big black / olive / white streamers, PRLs in golden/salmon/black/brown, prince nymphs, SJWs in all flavors, tungsten 20 inchers, DB poxy rubberleg stones.
