Got some decent bows out of the lower Swan today.

General Outlook:  All the moisture and warmer temps caught up to us and river flows jumped a bit in the last 24hrs. It looks like this will be a small push and we should have some more river options  in a few days.

Blackfoot River Report: The Blackfoot fished fair today under rising water conditions. It has already crested and is on it’s way back down. This river is ripe and ready to pop. Look for the big bugs and good dry fly fishing in the coming week.
Bugs / Fly Patterns: Salmon flies, caddis, pmds, green drakes, yellow sallies, golden stones / foam creatures, extendo drakes, huge cripples, Rouge Stones, flutter stones,  20 incher stones, double bead stones, rubber legs, princes, San Juans, beadhead whatevers, urchin buggers, flash fry, skiddish smolt, sparkle minnows, but monkeys, sex dungeons…

Lower Clark Fork River Report: On the rise but it should be short lived.  Once this thing drops and greens up a bit it’s going to be great fishing. Maybe early next week.
Bugs / Fly Patterns: Caddis, pmds, green drakes, golden stones, sallies / foam creatures, extendo drakes, huge cripples, Rouge Stones,  20 incher stones, double bead stones, rubber legs, princes, San Juans, beadhead whatevers, urchin buggers, flash fry, skiddish smolt, sparkle minnows

Flathead River Report: POOOOO PIE!!
Bugs / Fly Patterns: 20 incher stones, double bead stones, rubber legs, princes, San Juans, beadhead whatevers, urchin buggers, flash fry, skiddish smolt, sparkle minnows…

Swan River Report: Upper was toast this morning. We hit the lower and caught some nice bows on a half day. Quite a few caddis and a few smaller fish rising. One nice fish came up looking for the Salmon fly but the stonefly nymphs ruled the day.
Bugs / Fly Patterns: salmon flies, Goldens, caddis, pmds, 20 incher stones, double bead stones, rubber legs, princes, San Juans, beadhead whatevers, urchin buggers, flash fry, skiddish smolt, sparkle minnows, but monkeys, sex dungeons…

Other Stuff: We have a few boats over on the mo this week and the fishing has been very productive. Some dry fly fishing starting to happen with pmd stuff and nymphing will get plenty in the boat. The Thompson should drop back into shape in the next few days and remain a great wade fishing option for the DIY crowd until the bigger rivers shrink. Look at the Jocko here in the next week or so to be a good wade fishing option as well.
