Hi 84 °F

Good colors from the Blackfoot yesterday.

General Outlook.  All of our rivers just got a small spike in flows with the rains we received in the last 48 hrs. The graphs have already turned back down so things should be back on track in a day or so.

Blackfoot River: Still waiting for the dry fly thing to kick in for real. You can get some on dries if you stroke the sweet spot all day but it isn’t in full swing yet. We have been hanging some solid fish on big stonefly nymphs , worms, and streamers. Tandem streamers under a huge indicator have been getting some good tugs when trolling them down the banks. Hitting the slower holding water with nymphs has been getting some too. Blind fishing the big dry has not been that productive yet but………..
Bugs / Fly Patterns: Salmon flies, goldens, sallies, PMDs, Green Drakes, Caddis, big black / white streamers and stone fly nymphs, SJWs all colors, caddis pupas, beadhead attractor nymphs, large p-tails

Lower Clark Fork River: Look’n like a pretty good option. Plenty of vis to catch some fish. Indicator fishing with a stone / bugger and a worm or large beadhead attractor should work.  Streamers on a tip in the slower water if you can find any. Big dry fly dropper rigs might be worth a try once the shade hits the water. It might be worth looking for some risers late.
Bugs / Fly Patterns: Stonefly Nymphs with rubber legs in black / brown / golden, big prince nymphs, big p-tails, buggers / streamers, large foam golden variations,

Flathead River: A pretty good spike in flow put the the river back on the upswing for a couple days and the fishing hasn’t been great. It is turning back down now and should get better all week if we don’t get another torrential downpour.
Bugs / Fly Patterns: g-bugs & worms, prince nymphs, streamers, foam golden variations

Swan River: Had a few poor reports from the Swan the last few days. Lots of rain has the river up and off color. It should come back around in a couple days if the rain quits.
Bugs / Fly Patterns: Big black / olive / white streamers, large g-bugs in golden/salmon/black/brown, large prince nymphs, SJWs in all flavors, tungsten 20 inchers, DB poxy rubberleg stones.
