Bitterroot River Skwalas

A Nice Bitterroot River brown that fell for a pink skwala emerger.

Well, we got our first skwala dry fly eats of the season. Is it on? Not by a long shot…but you can catch plenty on droppers and get an occasional skwala eat.  The river is pretty high and cold with almost no bugs.  Warmer days will bring the bugs but possibly higher flows. There is still a ton of low level snow so flows will probably be dicey with the next major warming trend. Should be an interesting spring season…
