Blackfoot Bull

The fly fishing on the Blackfoot River is really good right now. Tons of bugs of all types and good dry fly fishing pretty much all day. Salmon flies, golden stones, caddis, PMDs, green drakes, yellow sallies….The dry fly bite has been better in the afternoon so droppers in the morning will keep you busy if you don’t have the patience to stick with the dry. A golden and a green drake cripple is a great combo. Fish are still eating the salmon fly too and the twitch seems to help if you do it right. No need to be over on the Mo bobber fishing at the dam when you can throw big dry flies on our freestone rivers right now.
