Fly Tying | Keeled Bunny Minnow

This is one of our favorite streamers. We fish it in several different colors. It is a great client fly because it’s not all that big or heavy so it’s pretty easy to cast. The pink tag gives it a little something extra… especially in the winter and early spring. We have had great success with it on our 2 handers in the winter months on the Mo. The tungsten scud back keels the fly so it rides hook-up every time. Our friend Jeff Yost created the fly and Montana Fly Co produces a similar version called the Yost’s Hot Ass. Not sure if they keel their version. We fish them in peach, white, olive, and brown.
