General Rifle season for deer and elk has come to an end. It was a great season with many challenges, missed opportunities, and rewarding moments. It’s nice to spend some time in the field with friends.  I used to love going to BC and swinging for steelhead, probably will again someday soon. But enjoying the hunting opportunities here in MT is equally rewarding…and you can’t fill the freezer with wild steelhead.

Fishing hasn’t been on the brain much. Maybe after some wing shooting and powder turns the itch will return. For those who are still wetting their line, the Missouri is the place to be for now, or Mexico or Belize or… The Flathead just got a big push of water from the recent rains so it won’t likely fish well for a while. Once the flows settle, the warmer days should provide fishing opportunities through out the winter.

We will be in and out of the shop for the next few weeks so give us a call and we can help you with your holiday needs.

Enjoy the holidays!
