The busy season has finally come to an end. It’s a nice change of pace. Still a few trips going out but the tourists and snowbirds have all pretty much gone home. The afternoon fishing should continue to be productive until we get a serious dose of winter weather. If you’re heading out, shoot for a short afternoon trip during the warmest part of the day. There are still some fish rising in the afternoons on calm days. The weather isn’t always cooperative with wind being the main factor that really just isn’t enjoyable when it’s cold. Calm days are all good. The river is peaceful right now with very little traffic if any on most days. We will continue to fish throughout the winter months when the weather cooperates. Pretty much any calm day above freezing can provide some worthy fishing. We have guides standing by for winter trips if you want to get out for a float this winter. The Farmers Almanac says we are going to have big snow, I’ll believe when I see it. It would sure be nice to have a big water year for a change.

We are not keeping regular hours at the shop so give a call before you head down. Time to button up for winter and squeeze in a couple more river days before the snow flies. A little radio silence for now…
