The rivers are dropping.  We’ve had some cool weather, and despite substantial rain, they continue to drop.  The snow-pack is normalizing as well.  Early this spring we were sitting on 170% of normal.  Now we are at 112%. We are experiencing some cool weather at the moment that has the rivers on the drop.  It will likely warm up soon and slow things down or even turn them back up.  Hard to say but we do know that 112% is going to be easier to deal with than 170%.  The Flathead and its Forks are almost at average flows at this point.  The Blackfoot and Clark Fork are still almost twice their normal flows so they might be slightly behind schedule.  Salmon flies have been get’n seent in a few spots. It won’t be long…

Meanwhile the show must go on.  We are still fishing the Missouri and hitting some lakes here locally. We will be chucking huge foamies in no time.
